The Mercury In the last two months the situation in Kenya has changed dramatically. The daily reports of violence in Kenya paint a very grim picture of a country that was once peaceful, trouble free and was seen as a leading African nation. Cultural, ethnic, religious and political differences exist in many countries. However, African countries, in particular, seem to be plagued by faction fighting and intolerance. The continuous perpetration of violence in Kenya is worsening every day. It is time that the African Union exercises its strength as the UN of Africa. Africa cannot afford to shed anymore blood.
