The Mercury
South Africans should blame themselves for countries that have decided to tighten their immigration laws. Britain has emphatically imposed a stricter approach on South Africans wishing to enter the UK. Really, we don't deserve all of this, had we attended to the Home Affairs issuing of ID documents and the alleged messy situation. Our country had a fairly good track record in the immigration department until it was left unsupervised for some time now. An urgent appeal is made to the Minister of Home Affairs to resolve the internal workings of his department before we fall prey to other countries that could make travel and destinations a real nightmare.
