Time to Reflect

Global warming has played havoc with weather patterns and brought about climate change throughout the world. Winters have become severe with bitter cold, excessive snowfalls and stormy conditions. Similarly, summers have become intensely hot with dryer, warmer and scorching conditions.

Countries the world over have been lashed by natural disasters in recent times. The deluge in many parts of Africa and most recently in neighbouring Mozambique and Zambia has caused untold misery.

It is time to seriously reflect; open our minds and hearts to the catastrophic destruction that poses an imminent danger to mankind. Reflect on our actions that have a direct effect on the prevailing conditions. Reflect on the evil and sin perpetrated by us and the transgression of the laws of Allah Ta’aala and disobedience to Allah Ta'aala – this invites the wrath and anger of our Rabb, the Most Powerful and Most Merciful.

Together with our duas, we need to bring a change in our lives and constantly remind ourselves of our final abode – the Hereafter.
