A: The Dead Sea is said to be the place where the punishment of Allah Ta'aala came upon the people of Lut (A.S).As such it is a place to take lesson from and it is Makruh to make this a place of recreation and entertainment.Hence, one should avoid swimming in the Dead Sea and also using products made from the Dead Sea unless it is due to a medical necessity.
