BAGHDAD, Iraq- An Iraqi tribal leader has revealed information relating to undercover operations by the Israeli Intelligence Service, Mossad.
According to Ahmad al Khenjar, a tribal leader, Mossad is engaged in widespread spying under the protection of US troops in the Al Anbar province, in western Iraq. Al-Khenjar, whose tribe consists of 13 clans, said that over the last two months, several Mossad agents had been freely moving within Al Anbar using four-wheel driven GMC vehicles under the protection of US forces. He said that these agents were dressed in plain clothes and donned traditional Jewish hats. Al Khenjar claimed that it was impossible to detect Mossad agents within US barracks. He claimed that they had set up offices in former Iraqi army headquarters and government buildings such as the phosphate mines complex. “The Hafsah Elementary School in Al Anbar’s main city of Al Qa’em has become their headquarters. All their bases are well-secured with barb wire and they have built watch towers on top of their offices”, al Khenjar said. He noted that these agents usually undertook two or three field trips a day, escorted by US military vehicles. Al Khenjar said that the main objective of the Mossad agents was to collect intelligence information. On July 17th, they came under attack by the Iraqi resistance. “One of their cars was destroyed and four members were killed. Documents found at the site of the attack confirmed that they were Mossad agents”, Khenjar sai Source : FACT INT |
