Given the volume of people who seek assistance from the organisation in the form of welfare and other assistance - budgets and policies are in place for the smooth facilitation of dispensation of financial help. Inevitably, there would be instances of individuals being aggrieved with the system or not being given the service in the manner they desire.
Furthermore, due to the ever-expanding operations, the Centre has to hire staff for its many activities. At times, there could be lapses or errors committed by some staff members, warranting the laying of a complaint against them. In order to maintain transparency and integrity, and to allow for constructive inputs and criticism and to field complaints from the public in a fair and independent manner, the Centre has an Ombudsman body that fulfils this role function.
The members of the Ombudsman are individuals of integrity and good standing in the community, and independent of Darul Ihsan Centre:
1.An experienced & successful businessman, who also heads up a big Islamic organisation.
2.A Chartered Accountant who is Hafizul-Quran and is a partner in a major accounting firm.
3.An Attorney who runs a law firm, who is also involved in community work.
4.A senior Aalim with extensive experience and knowledge, who has served the community for many years.
5.A Chartered Accountant who is Hafizul-Quran, who serves on the Darul Ihsan Board and is the liaison person between Darul Ihsan and the Ombudsman.
