Islam has placed the importance of good neighbourliness close to its Social structure. Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has laid great emphasis on living in harmony with neighbours. Hazrat Jibraeel (AS) repeatedly descended with advises on the rights of neighbours – to the extent that the Sahaba (RA) felt that the neighbours would ‘become inheritors.’

The author has intelligently approached the subject matter detailing most of the aspects of neighbours and the neighbourhood. Often the author quotes a hadith, with commentary, to emphasize how one should interact with their neighbours.
Basically, neighbours are an inextricable part of our lives.  Consequently everyone needs to carefully understand and digest the beautiful teachings of the Sunnah on the topic of neighbours.
