NAME OF BOOK: Aqeedatut Tahaawi
AUTHOR: Moulana Qari Muhammad Tayyib Saheb (RA)
TRANSLATOR: Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias
PUBLISHER: Zam Zam Publishers
Belief is perhaps the most important part of a believer’s life. As Muslims our Aqeedah must be correct, distanced and unadulterated from the Shaitaani thoughts and utterances.
Imaam Tahaawi (RA), a brilliant scholar and Mujtahid of his time produced this short and concise work on the doctrine - Al Aqeeda. In essence the author profoundly and comprehensively discusses the basics of beliefs refuting arguments of other sects that we often read about. The commentary of Qari Tayyib Saheb sheds more light on the text and expands one’s understanding.
Admittedly it’s not a book for the casual reader; it will do as an excellent text book for higher learning. The discourse is specifically supported by Qur’aanic verses and Ahaadith.

NAME OF BOOK: The Prisoners of Malta
AUTHOR: Moulana Sayed Mohammad Mia
TRANSLATOR: Mohammad Anwar Hussain
PUBLISHER: Jami'at-ul-Ulama Hind
The 'Prisoners of Malta' accordingly refers to the two great giants of India, viz. Sheikhul Hind Hadhrat Mahmood Hassan and Sheikhul Islam Hadhrat Husain Ahmad Madani [Rahmatullahi Alaihima]. Both the teacher and the student fought against the British and suffered immense hardship and were eventually incarcerated. Both personalities were imprisoned in Malta under strict vigilance and underwent severe hardship while in prison.
The book is a historical record of the Ulamas' great contribution to
the freedom struggle in India. The book also points out the British
conspiracy of divide along religious lines, and the religious
sentiments between the Hindus and Muslims which eventually resulted in the partition of India.
The short biographies of both these great scholars mentioned in the book are complementary to this interesting piece of work. Readers fond of politics and who have an interest in the history of the Indo-Pak continent will find the book extremely exciting and interesting.
