Islam accords a Muslim wife a very unique position. She is entrusted with infusing Islamic values within the home and shaping the home environment into one of bliss and piety. Indeed her role is pivotal, and for this the wife herself will need to be empowered with sound Islamic knowledge, sound character and good home-keeping techniques.
Scores of Qur'anic verses, and dozens of Ahadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) can be cited in support of the belief on the "finality of prophethood". To reproduce all the Qur'anic verses and the Ahadith supporting this belief would be beyond the scope of this short article. By way of example, a single verse, some Ahadith and the explanations of the scholars follow, leaving no doubt concerning the issue of the finality of prophethood.

Allah Ta'ala has given the husband a degree of ‘authority’ as a responsibility over the wife to create a harmonious balance in the marriage. It is unimaginable that Allah Ta'ala would afford the husband a position of authority for him to oppress his spouse. Surely the purpose of such a position is to give him a sense of responsibility to guide and steer the relationship in the right direction.
