It is our earnest Dua that Allah returns them home safely and crown each one of them a Hajj-e-Maqbool and Hajj-e-Mabroor.
The Hujjaj enjoy the honourable and distinguished status of being the ambassadors of Allâh Ta’ala as mentioned in a narration by Abu Hurairah (R) that Nabi r stated, “The Haji and one who performs Umrah are the Ambassadors of Allah. If they beseech Him, He would respond to them, and if they seek His forgiveness He would forgive them.” (‘Ibn Majah)
By virtue of this splendid pillar of Islam, the Hujjaj have undergone an intense spiritual enrichment programme on a journey of immense devotion and discipline. The entire event is indeed the most perfect manifestation of the universal brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah.
The Hujjaj return with renewed faith and high levels of spiritual blessings. Thus, the Hadith likens the condition of the one who is blessed with an accepted Hajj to that of a new born baby.
Similarly ‘Ibn ‘Umar (R) states that Nabi r has said: “When you meet the Haji, greet him, shake his hands and instruct him to seek forgiveness for you before he enters his home, for undoubtedly he is forgiven.” (Ahmed)
Bearing the above in mind, we should take full advantage of the returning Hujjaj by going out of our way to meet them and request for their Duas.
