Tarbiyah programme for school learners

The Education Department of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre conducts many broad educational projects for the benefit of the Ummah.

As part of the Education Department’s Tarbiyah (Islamic nurturing) series for learners at schools, our Ulama members visit both Muslim primary and high schools to conduct workshops, deliver talks and lectures on many aspects of Islam.

The Tarbiyah series is directed towards ‘character building’ (Akhlaaq) in Muslim learners.

On Monday, 22 October 2018 four Ulama members - Maulana Suhail Motala, Maulana Mustafa Kaamil, Maulana Muhammed Parak and Maulana Yusuf Jazbhay - presented a Tarbiyah programme at the Orient Islamic School for almost 100 learners from Grades 4 to 6.

They delivered talks on ‘Islamic values and the importance of Sunnah in the lives of Muslims’ and on the ‘Application of Sunnah in our daily lives.’

The Ulama members were warmly welcomed by the staff and Head of the Islamiyaat Department of the school.

On Tuesday, 23 October 2018 Maulana Muhammad Ameer and Maulana Muhammad Jadwat presented another Tarbiyah programme on the ‘Importance of discipline and good character in Islam’ to Muslim learners at the Dr Macken Mistry Primary School in Newlands East.

The talks are presented in an inter-active manner with the learners.

The Ulama members observed that learners at both schools were both attentive and disciplined during the programme.

The Tarbiyah series is an ongoing programme of the Education Department with intent to address as many Muslim learners as possible at both Islamic and secular schools.
