Developing Counselling Skills & Empowering Marriage Counsellors

A Counselling Workshop for Ulama was conducted by Darul Ihsan Centre on 16 February 2019. The scholars of Islam are the spiritual guides of the Ummah and are constantly approached to assist and guide people with their social and marital challenges. The workshop focused on development of counselling skills and empowerment of marriage counsellors.

The programme was attended by 25 Ulama from Durban, Johannesburg and Botswana. Presentations featured topics relating to Social problems in our community, Islamic Perspective on Counselling, Pre-marital Counselling and Drug Counselling were conducted by the Ameer of Darul Ihsan Centre, Mufti Zubair Bayat, Head of the Social Department, Maulana Muhammad Ameer and Head of the Drugs Awareness Drive, Maulana Zakaria Murchie.

The lively programme addressed contemporary challenges and case studies of matters dealt with by the Ulama. These workshops are held for the ongoing upliftment and growth of Ulama and are held countrywide.
