At least 200 people have been affected by a fire incident at an informal settlement at Gumtree Road, Kenville on Tuesday, 03 December 2019.

Alhamdulillah, the two final ‘Ghusl and Kafn’ classes held for this year saw some of the best attendances of all the classes held for 2019.

The ‘Feed the Needy’ outreach of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre (DHC) provides meals to groups of indigent and destitute individuals in both urban and suburban areas.

Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre has, over the years, provided relief in the form of meals and blankets distributed (during winter) to many elderly residents at various TAFTA (The Association for The Aged) residences in Durban.

On Sunday 01 December 2019 the Relief Team of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre - together with community volunteers - distributed over 200 hot-packed meals to residents of Quarry Road West Informal Settlement.

Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s “Build a Home” project supports families who are in desperate need of a dwelling where circumstances are such that would make it impossible for them to secure a suitable place for them to live.
