The articles, “Plans to install CCTV cameras in eThekwini nature reserves,” Daily News, Wednesday 26 September 2018 and “Prasa CCTV cameras not working since 2015,” Daily News, Thursday 27 September 2018 refers.
In the light of the above perhaps it would be churlish to comment further.
Granted that the one article refers to Durban and the other to Cape Town crime is a grim reality for all South Africans.
The dynamic of the articles are best described as both sides of a coin standing on its edge.
Good intentions have come to a stage that nobody trusts that authorities could implement measures nor sustain them to be wholly effective against crime.
