Advice on Friends!
A real friend wishes his companions well,
He's not one who allows them to get close to hell,
Always be careful of the friends you Choose,
So, in the end, Jannah you will not lose,
If you find your companion is not stopping your wrong,
then, be weary, his friendship is not strong.
If you see the pattern made,
that when you are under your friend's shade,
Your Imaan begins to fade,
Leave the worthless creation,
make friends with Allah, Surely that is a high station!.
A dervish who had knowledge of our present situation,
Once told his students the following dictation,
"The meeting of people will never enrich you,
save with the gibberish of useless gossip.
So diminish your meeting with people,
except for knowledge or to improve your condition"

My Greatest Need is You
Your hope in my heart is the rarest treasure
Your Name on my tongue is the sweetest word
My choicest hours
Are the hours I spend with You --
O Allah, I can't live in this world
Without remembering You--
How can I endure the next world
Without seeing Your face?
I am a stranger in Your country
And lonely among Your worshippers:
This is the substance of my complaint.

Hajj Requests
by Ahmed
Friends and the family ask for the same
In your duas please mention my name
and in the Prophets Masjid convey my salams
pray Allah one day takes me to those blessed lands
I nod my head and signify acceptance
and ask them to pray I make the distance
To travel safely and with immunity
and that I am able to utilise this opportunity
that Allah has granted me
In fulfilling my islamic Hajj duty!
Inshallah, I will make dua for everyone and I bid you all EID MUBARAK in advance.

Judgement Day
For the final time the trumpet is sounded,
You awake from your grave shocked and dumbfounded,
The day will begin with Allah descending,
This is for real, it aint no pretending
Followed by angels who stand all in rows,
Judgement Day is here, and this is how it goes
The scales of justice will be brought before man,
Now you shall have to explain your whole life span
What you did in the open and what you concealed
From big to small shall today be revealed
Men in shear horror will run to one another
But no one can save you, not even your mother
You're standing there naked as the day you were born
This day would come to be, that Allah has sworn
Your deeds shall today be weighed in a scale
This shall determine if you pass or fail
Heaven and Hell shall be brought into vision
Allah alone shall make the ultimate decision
It¹s all up to you now, make up your mind
See Allah¹s greatness, and don¹t be blind
To all brothers and sisters I'd like to say,
Ask for forgiveness and do that today
Don't be foolish and follow shaitaan,
He's out to strip us of our Imaan
We've lived in this world all so deluded
Finally, I hope in jannah you will all be included.

A Good Death
by Ahmed
My time has come quickly so
I thought I had ages left to go
My Lord constantly on my mind
My heart praising the Divine
Punctually 5 times salah I would pray
Reciting Quran I always started my day
The daily duas devotedly memorised
Each opportunity they were utilised
Showing kindness to all those I met
Prophet Muhammads (pbuh) teachings I did not forget
In this way my Imaan became strong
So Allah would save me from doing wrong
And when I did do any bad deed
I would repent sincerely with great speed
Asking Allah for a clean sheet
The Masjid my frequent retreat
Listening to the Shaykhs true advice
I acted on it without even blinking twice
Death will come to me like a nice breeze
The angels take my soul with ease
May Allah give all the Muslimeen death upon Imaan

A Bad Death
by Ahmed
My time has come quickly so
I thought I had ages left to go
I liked to look slick
Flirting gave me the ‘kick’
Out I went to just chill
With my mates for that buzz and thrill
But along with them little I did know
That from Islam I was distancing myself slow
Like this my Imaan did fade
In sins I began to wade
Death has come around for us
Now I want to catch the Islam bus
Sadly it is too late
I am to suffer the worst fate
Death will come to me with pain
The Shaykhs past warnings in vain
I should have taken heed
And without delay started amassing many good deed
My friends take this poem not lightly
Now is the time to take up Islam fully
May Allah save all the Muslimeen from the pains of death

The Five Pillars of Islam
Author unkown
Allah is One and like no one,
He has no partner, nor a son,
He is Kind and Just and Wise,
And has no form, shape or size.
His final Messenger to all of us,
Did so much without a fuss,
Muhammad is his blessed name,
As mercy to the worlds he came.
Five times a day we make Salah,
That's when we bow down to Allah,
We ask for guidance when we pray,
And this we do every single day.
We have to share with those in need,
And not give in to thoughts of greed,
Zakah then helps us in this way,
Lest we should err and go astray.
In the month of Ramadan we must fast,
From the first day to the last,
When food and drink we put aside,
By fasting rules we then abide.
And all those who can afford,
Seek the pleasure of their Lord,
They perform their Hajj you know,
When to Makkah the pilgrims go.

Al-Hamdulillah
As I rise each day
Al-Hamdulillah I say
As I put on my dress
Al-Hamdulillah I express
As I fill my empty plate
Al-Hamdulillah I state
As I make ready to strive
Al-Hamdulillah for another day alive
As I hear the birds sing
Al-Hamdulillah for the melody they bring
As I watch the sun rise
Al-Hamdulillah for my eyes
As I wash in the stream
Al-Hamdulillah I am clean
As I pray my Salat
Al-Hamdulillah for the best start
As I share my gifts with neighbours
Al-Hamdulillah for Allah's favours
As I delight with my family
Al-Hamdulillah for their care for me
As I pray for forgiveness
Al-Hamdulillah for deliverance
As I open the Qur'an
Al-Hamdulillah for my Iman
As I understand and take heed
Al-Hamdulillah, Al-Hamdulillah
For all the good I receive.

Love for Allah
by Ahmed
If my love is attached to Thee
Then from sin I will be free
Each time my heart will beat
Your name will resound with heat
With your name shivers my each limb
They seek to be released from whim
Allah, Allah, is my hearts speech
Your Mercy is what I beseech
The Most Merciful keep me content
With all that You have sent
Keep in my heart Your remembrance
And in Your deen and love allow me to advance
Help me in my quest
Permit me to pass the ultimate test
Save me from the clutches of Satan
Give me death upon Imaan.

Valentines in Islam...
a Note from Satan
by Ahmed
The day has come
When I, Satan, will play you dumb
To approach 'The girl/ boy' is hard
so today break the ice with a card
You will send it to them with zeal
finally they will know how you feel
Oh Muslim dont you see
I watch you with glee
For now I have you trapped
Your heart once inclined towards Allah, I have snatched
I have now started you off on the slippery road
To Jahannam the dreadful abode.
Enjoy your Valentines day!

The Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet Pbuh)
by Ahmed
Many hardships the companions did endure
Yet on Tauheed they kept their hearts pure
Their gaze fixed on the reward of the hereafter
Unlike us, passing our time in joy and laughter
The services they gave to our deen
The likes of which we have never seen
The pleasure of Allah and His Rasul their aim
They gave up lives of luxuries and fame
We have acknowledged their good status
Then why does this not give us impetus
To strive and work to be like they were
Instead to be like pop stars and celebrities we prefer?
O Muslim! Leave the kuffar ways before you are seized
Instead adopt the way of the Sahabah’s with whom Allah is pleased!

Teen Love?
by Ahmed
The day outside at lunch looked rather nice
So I take a walk in the park to get some excercise
When much to my surprise I see a hijabi and a guy
Committing zina openly, right under the open sky
As I walk along the path they cease with shame
After I have passed they continue all the same
Its sad though, they stopped for only human me
Yet remain aloof of the All-Seeing, Allah Almighty
Whom we will have to answer to on Judgement day
When each of our actions He will survey
The decision, to jannah or jahannam, will take place
Ask yourself now, which one is it that you chase?
You fool yourself that this maybe love
Ask them to marry and see how you get the shove
For it is only lust at your tender age
And with the devil you both engage
So stop these shenanigans and open your eyes
The true purpose of life come to realise
Yourself, from sins and evil of zina do save
Before its too late and you are already in the grave
Stop, turn to Allah and sincerely repent
Mend your ways and follow Jannah's scent!
This poem reflects what I actually experienced yesterday.

My Sins Block My Dua
By Anonymous
As I sit here alone, the tears rolling down my face
It is not salt, but pain that I taste
So I leave now to go stand before You
I am helpless and alone, what else can I do?
I have asked, I have begged but my sins block my du'a
I will come now still begging, forgive me O Allah
Forgive me and grant me what it is that I ask
For me it is impossible but for You a simple task
I try and I try but I do not succeed
But I understand and know it is because Your Words I do not heed
I hear, yes I hear but I do not always obey
Perhaps that is why I am destitute, isolated and why You have written that I will be alone this way
I have no to blame but the person in the mirror I see
No one else must pay for my sins, no one else, no one else, no one else but me
So I stand before You to again beg forgiveness because You said that I can
You have told us in Your Book that You are Ar-Rahman
I will ask, I will beg but my sins block my du'a
But I will keep asking, forgive me O Allah

I'm a Muslim for all to see,
So very glad and proud to be.
Your temptations try to turn my head,
But I have chosen Islam instead.
Sure I am not like all the rest,
I don't eat pork, wear a mini dress.
I am special, I'm not the same,
My appearance is different, even my name.
My God gives me strength,
He makes me strong, He guides me right when I go wrong.
I am a Muslim for all to see,
Islam guides me wherever I be.

What Did I Do Today?
Author: xmuslimahx
Every day and every night
I think about the day, so bright.
Did I do good or did I do bad?
Did I ever make anyone mad?
I think about the deeds I have done,
Did I just spend the day having fun?
Did I do anything to please Allah,
Anything like praying salah?
Did I pray Qur'an or give a helping hand,
To anyone in this humongous land?
Did I do dhikr, remembering my lord?
Or did I just stay sitting, looking out of the window bored?
Good deeds, bad deeds, which did I do today?
Or is the record I have the same everyday?
Did I visit the sick, give them some company?
Or did I only think about me me me?
Maybe I should think, just for a minute or two,
Did I do just one good deed, even if it's nothing new?
Just one good deed to please Allah
To make it my entry to Jannah.
