Q: My question is to do with marriage...how should a muslimah go about proposing to a brother possibly suitable for marriage?

A Muslim woman proposing for a prospective Muslim boy who is a suitable marriage partner is commendable and an act of great courage. The Quran mentions the incident of Prophet Shuayb (AS) requesting Musa (AS) to marry his daughter.
The advisable method is the girl may request an elder member of her family to communicate with an elder from the boy's family to discreetly convey the message. The boy's family, if interested, may respond positively.
