These upgrades seek to improve health facilities and public transportation with the handover of a newly constructed road and bridge, access to schools, and borehole water infrastructure. An amount of R8 million was invested in the road and bridge projects, of which constantly suffer repeated flood damage.

eThekwini Mayor, Cyril Xaba, said during the project handover, “Vandalising municipal property sets our communities back and drains resources that could be used to develop other needy areas.

“eThekwini has come a long way in improving water infrastructure and boosting water supply even if it means exploring alternative measures.”
