The Muslim segment of the Ummah of Nabi (Salallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), is ONE massive family unit, “like one single body”. Viewed against this backdrop, brotherhood (“ukhuwwa”) is an absolutely essential ingredient for success. The call by Allah Ta’ala to hold fast all together “to the rope of Allah” is a clear signal for a strongly united Ummah.
Man’s actions (‘Amaal) can either bring him closer to his Creator, or distance him from the Creator’s kindness and love. There are those deeds/actions that draw one to the brink of Allah Ta’ala’s ocean of mercy in very quick time.
As muslims we often feel that we are doing our bit by means of paying our Zakaah and giving some charity. The big question though, “Is that enough?” The short answer is NO.
Scientists have shown that the Islamic prayer (known as Salah) which Muslims perform five times a day can be good for your back if done properly with the correct knee and back angles.
“Go green” is the current buzz-word to encourage people to protect the environment and conserve natural resources. While the rest of the world woke up fairly recently to the reality that the natural resources that we have been blessed with should not be wasted, Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) taught the Ummah more than 14 centuries ago the lesson of conservation and of totally avoiding israaf.

Worshipping Allah Jalla Shaanuhu and being obedient to the laws of Allah (Jalla Shaanuhu) generates noor (light). The opposite is equally true, committing a sin drowns one in gloom, grief, darkness and depression. Ah, just ponder about the condition of insaan if only he cultivates a deep desire to:

In all societies and at all times marriage has been considered an occssion for great joy. The word most used with "wedding" is "celebration." In fiction, which reflects our inner desires, they "lived happily ever after." Obviously seeking success in marriage has been a pre-occupation of all societies.
