The Deputy Mayor thanked the team for providing 80 beneficiaries with farming boots at two different venues. At the Dukuza Tribal Court Hall, 40 male and female farmers received farming boots with a snack pack each, expressing their thanks and appreciation to the team and extending invites to visit their farming area.

The Outreach Team then proceeded to the second venue opposite the Emmause Hospital, where they were met by the Mayor, the Hon. Councillor V.R. Mlotshwa of the Okhahlamba Municipality, as well as other officials.

The mayor introduced the team to all present, expressing his profound gratitude to the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre and its members of the Outreach Team, who braved the inclement weather to serve the local farming community. The mayor thanked the team for sterling work done amongst the disadvantaged communities, further highlighting the team’s efforts earlier in the year during the ‘Sponsor A Blanket’ project.

A spokesperson from the farming community also expressed his thanks to the Centre and the outreach team, asking that they are kept in mind for future programmes.

Additionally, the Centre received a letter of thanks from the Okhahlamba Local Municipality. Amidst other areas, these outreach programmes continue to assist the most vulnerable and marginalised communities within Okhahlamba.
The Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s Outreach Team is eager to work in collaboration with the proactive local municipality to continue these efforts, of which are only possible through the help and graciousness of Allah, as well as by the kind and generous donations received.
