The programme, conducted by Moulana Moosa Phiri assisted by Moulana Luqmaan Ranjaan, two Ulama serving at Darul Ihsan Centre, focused on the duties and responsibilities of a Muazzin, the Sunnah method of giving the Azaan, practical Azaan training and the improvement of Qur’an recitation and Tajweed and related information. The programme also included training on the importance of personal hygiene, masjid cleanliness and how to manage the masjid affairs related to the Muazzin.
The programme culminated in written examinations and individual practical assessments. Each student was required to call the Azaan over the microphone, demonstrating the skills acquired during the training. Alhamdulillah, all the students successfully completed the practical assessment, displaying clear pronunciation and a good overall standard. The students also completed the written examination, which they reported to be manageable.
Following the assessments, the students were addressed on the virtues, importance and responsibilities of being a Muazzin. They were reminded that calling the Azaan is not merely a task, but an honourable service to the Muslim community that requires sincerity, discipline and good character.
Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre extends its appreciation to all the well wishers who make these inititives possible. Indeed, our donors and contributors share in the rewards of these noble efforts.
May Allah Ta‘ala accept the efforts of everyone involved, place barakah in this initiative, and enable the students to serve their communities with sincerity and excellence. Ameen.
