These donations will help support and strengthen the centres’ programmes, providing approximately 1,034 children in the town and surrounding areas with foundational learning, as well as physical, mental, and emotional development resources.

This partnership between Eskom and ECD aims to contribute to plans of eradicating poverty and improving growth and sustainability across smaller towns in South Africa.

National Development Agency Eastern Cape Provincial Manager, Nokulunga Skeyi, stated, “This handover demonstrates what can be achieved when the public sector and corporate social investment institutions combine their strengths in support of community development.”
