Q: Is it permitted to do Tawaf on a wheel chair or a golf cart?

A: In principle, it is obligatory (Wajib) to perform Tawaf uz Ziyarah and the Tawaf of Umrah while walking. However, if a person is unable to due to a valid excuse, such as physical disability or illness, then one is permitted to use a wheelchair. Similarly, if using a golf cart is necessary due to the person's condition, it shall be permissible as an alternative to a wheelchair. The key is that the concession is granted for those who are unable to perform the Tawaf on foot due to valid reasons.
